I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel nestled in the heart of the Tatra Mountains. The location of this place is simply breathtaking, with the majestic mountains dominating the surrounding area. It is close to everything by car, making it convenient for exploring the many attractions nearby. Whether you're into hiking, cycling, golf, tennis, or skiing, this hotel is the perfect starting point for all your outdoor adventures.

I had a great experience at the resort. The reception staff at the hotel were very helpful and arranged transport for us from the railway station in Poprad. The hotel itself was just the right size for a getaway, not too big or too small. The wellness center was a real pleasure to relax in after a day of hiking, and the saunas were a great way to warm up. The buffet meals, both in the morning and evening, were surprisingly tasty and offered a wide variety of dishes. The views from the Sky Lounge in the evening were definitely worth checking out. I would highly recommend Horizont Resort.

We are currently staying in a charming hotel nestled between the stunning towns of Tatranska Lomnica and Stary Smokovec. The location is simply perfect, with many channels that contain a tennis court and a small kiddies playground, providing entertainment for all ages. The view from our room is breathtaking, with the mountains dominating the surrounding area. The room itself is spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The service here is top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff always ready to assist. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with a wide selection of freshly made dishes to choose from.

The hotel pool can sometimes get a bit crowded, which can be a downside for those seeking a serene and peaceful swimming experience.

I absolutely adored the hotel's decoration and ambiance. The interior design was classy, with tasteful furniture and beautiful artwork. The general areas of the hotel were spacious and easy to navigate, which was perfect for senior people like me. I appreciated how well-maintained everything was, from the elegant lobby to the charming terrace. It felt like a home away from home.

The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is more attentive staff. Sometimes the children working there seemed a bit preoccupied and not fully focused on their guests' needs.

Lovely mountain view room, clean spa, not crowded during late afternoon. Spa opens at 2:00 PM, earlier opening time would be preferred. Good wellness and tasty food. Comfortable beds, silent rooms with big TV. Nice location, friendly staff, and beautiful view from corridors.

The dress code in the spa area was not consistently enforced, and some guests were inappropriately dressed, leading to discomfort for others.

Our stay at Horizont Resort was fantastic! The value for money was really worth it, and the room was spotless and comfortable. The hotel's location was convenient, just a short walk from the center and the train stop. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

The morning meal could have been improved with a greater variety of fruits.

The hike to nearby lookout tower was a highlight, with breathtaking views over the mountains, and the complimentary shuttle service to nearby towns was a great convenience.

The wifi connection was spotty and often frustrating to connect to, and the selection of food offerings during breakfast could be better, with fewer processed foods and more fresh options. , while generally clean, there were signs of wear and tear in some areas of the hotel, such as chipped ceramic cups, and occasionally there were large groups who created noisy disturbances for other guests.

As youngsters, we loved the spacious family room with separate floors, the large swimming pool area, delicious food, and friendly staff. It was also conveniently located near attractions and trails in the high Tatras.

The executive suite was mind-blowingly spacious and the staff greeted us with a super warm welcome. The food options were jaw-droppingly good and the view from our room on the 6th floor was simply stunning. The saunas were absolutely fantastic, providing the perfect relaxation. The hotel was impressively spotless and the wellness area was never slippery. Though the room was a tad small for our liking, there was ample closet space. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner offerings were always freshly made. The Thai center was fantastic value for money, and the water bed after a massage was a great way to unwind. The saunas were quiet and peaceful, often allowing us to enjoy them alone. The crispy, fresh sauna towels provided were a nice touch, and we appreciated the no-slippers, no-bathing-suit policy. The towels were large enough to cover us comfortably. The pool, saunas, and massages were all superb, and it was a big plus that the hotel provided toys for the kids to use in the pool. The indoor and outdoor playgrounds were perfect for kids, and the location and surroundings of the hotel were truly delightful. We were also thrilled to find a crib in our room, free of charge. Highly recommended and we would definitely return!
